Consummate Believers

At 46 years old, I am beyond blessed to have two living grandmothers. On my mother’s side, Sylvia Weinkranz is 104 years old. She is a Holocaust survivor. Her story of survival, and the loss it brought, is impossible to relate to. On my father’s side, Frances Weinberg is 99 years old. Her family was already in the United States before WWII broke out. She grew up in extreme poverty, and spent WWII helping families who lost loved ones in the war. She lived her life as the ultimate optimist, and while relegated to wheel chair since Covid, she remains so. This album is about these two women. The songs are stories drawn from tales and ideas I heard from these remarkable share.
