Consummate Believers

Consummate Believers is a 9 song exploration of the stories told to me by my two Grandmothers. On my mother’s side, Sylvia Weinkranz is 104 years old. She is a Holocaust survivor. Her story of survival, and the loss it brought, is impossible to understand. On my father’s side, Frances Weinberg is 99 years old. Her family was already in the United States before WWII broke out. She grew up in extreme poverty, and spent WWII helping families who lost loved ones in the war. She lived her life as the ultimate optimist, and while relegated to wheel chair since Covid, she remains joyous. This album is about these two women. The songs are stories drawn from tales and ideas I heard from these remarkable women.
